The National Center for Agricultural Research concluded a training workshop entitled “Rehabilitating environmental systems to reduce soil erosion and silt accumulation in dams,” in cooperation with the Islamic Network for the Development and Management of Water Resources and ICARDA, with support from the Dutch government. (INWRDAM). The Director General of the National Center for Agricultural Research, Dr. Nizar Haddad, said that Jordan, despite its small geographic area, enjoys a unique richness and biodiversity in vital habitats, due to the Jordanian nature being distinguished by the multiplicity of climates, geological structures, and diverse environmental systems and patterns. The National Center for Agricultural Research, through the National Seed Bank and the Directorate Climate change research in partnership with national and international institutions to take many effective measures to protect biodiversity and rehabilitate social systems.
