NARC organizes an Advanced Course entitled "Principles of the Use of ‘‘R’‘ Statistics Analysis Program"

The Director General of the National Agricultural Research Center- NARC, Dr. Nizar Haddad prefaced the inauguration of an advanced training course entitled "Principles of the use of ‘‘R’‘ Statistics Analysis Program", within the project "Use of Genetic Diversity and Evolutionary Plant Breeding for Enhanced Farmer Resilience to Climate Change, Sustainable Crop Productivity, and Nutrition under Rainfed Conditions", in cooperation with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Biodiversity Organization.

During the opening of this training course that targeted 20 researchers from NARC, Haddad captioned its significance in qualifying them and building their capabilities to become more precise in reading research results to obtain results that meet the aspirations of the agricultural sector within international standards and criteria, assuring that investing in human resources is considered the highest level of investment, as they are the real asset and the main reason for the advancement of institutions through building their capabilities.

Dr. Nawal Al-Hajjaj, Head of Crops & Legumes Research Department at NARC, said that the course includes the basics of using the ‘‘R’‘ statistics analysis program, and it will help in extrapolating the research findings in crop readings of plant breeding programs or any experimental and field crop readings, in addition to its use in studying climatic or environmental readings and their interaction with crop readings.

On the other hand, she added that users of aerial images can benefit from the analysis of those images through this program, as this global program is available on the World Wide Web and accessible to all.
